What do the Bird, Chase and Static camera modes do?
Bird follows the route from above and always faces the same way. Bearing sets that direction and Pitch tilts the view.
Chase follows behind and turns with the route, like a drive-along view. Pitch tilts it.
Static keeps the whole route in view. Only the route, the labels and your photos move.
How do I make my Reel open by zooming in from the planet?
In Camera, open Intro & outro and slide Zoom all the way to Planet. The Reel opens on the globe and zooms down to your first stop, and the outro zooms back out. Pitch and Bearing there set the opening view. These don't apply to the Static camera, which keeps the whole route in view.
How do I bring the Reel's camera closer to the map?
Under the preview, slide Zoom to the right to bring the camera closer, or to the left to pull it back. It changes how close the camera flies to the route throughout the Reel.
Why can't I see 3D buildings in my Reel?
3D buildings are part of Premium and aren't available on satellite maps. They only appear when the camera is close to the streets. If your stops are far apart, the map stays high to fit the route, so slide Zoom under the preview to bring the camera closer, and raise Pitch in Camera to tilt the view so the buildings stand out. They show best on walks and city routes.
How do I change my Reel's map style?
Open Map and pick a look: Standard, Vintage, Travellar, 8-bit, Neon, Blueprint, Nature, Satellite or Satellite Roads. Standard is free; the rest are Premium. Time of day (dawn, day, dusk, night), fog and 3D buildings are Premium too. Hiding the map's labels is free. Every style shows the terrain's relief.
How do I choose how to travel between stops?
Tap the transport icon between two stops, in Places in the Reel editor or in the activity's places:
Walking, Cycling, Driving: the route follows paths, cycle routes or roads for that leg.
Plane: an arc between the two places, drawn like a flight path.
Curve: a smooth line between the stops, for a boat, a train, or when no road fits.
Each leg can have its own transport. When you import, Travellar sets legs of 1,000 km or more to Plane, and legs of 300 km or more with no road between them.
How do I rename a stop in my Reel?
In the Reel editor, open Places and tap the stop's name to change it. The new name shows straight away in the preview and in the video you export. If you're editing your activity (edit mode on), tap Save changes to keep it on the activity too; otherwise it only changes this Reel.
How do I reorder or remove stops in my Reel, or move a photo to another stop?
Open Places in the Reel editor. Press and hold a stop to drag it, and use its Menu to remove it. To move a photo to another stop, open Media and drag it there. If you're editing your activity (edit mode on), tap Save changes to keep them on the activity too; otherwise they only change this Reel.
Do changes in the Reel editor change my activity?
It depends on edit mode. With edit mode on (while you create an activity, or tap Edit on one of yours), changes in the Reel editor's Places and Media, like renaming or reordering stops, moving photos or muting a clip, are saved to the activity when you tap Save changes. They show on the activity and in every Reel you make from it. With edit mode off, they only apply to this Reel and are dropped when you close the Reel editor.
How do I choose which part of a photo or video shows in my Reel?
In the Reel editor, open Media, tap the photo or video and choose Frame. The rectangle has your Reel's shape: drag it over the part you want to keep, then tap Done. The Reel keeps that part in frame, and a photo's zoom-in centres on it.
If Photo fit or Video fit shows it whole in your Reel's shape, the rectangle covers all of it, as nothing is cropped.
How do I change how photos appear at each stop (Gallery or Polaroid)?
In Media, Photo style sets how photos appear at each stop. Gallery shows them full screen, one after another. Polaroid drops them as a stack of prints over the map. Place name and Captions add the stop's name and your caption to each photo.
How do I mute a video clip in my Reel?
One video: open Media, tap the video and choose Mute in the Reel.
All videos: turn on Mute videos in Media.
Hear the music under your videos: raise Music volume during videos.
Muting only affects the Reel, never the video itself.
How do I change my Reel's music?
Open Music and pick a track, or None. Music is off in the preview until you tap the Sound button. When a video has sound, the music drops under it.
How do I change the stop names, markers and route line on the map?
Open Route in the Reel editor. To rename a stop, open Places and tap its name.
Labels: the stop names on the map, on or off, small, medium or large, and how long each shows.
Spots: the mark at each stop (dot, circle, ring, halo or glow), its size and colour, and whether it appears when the route reaches it or is there from the start.
Route: the line's colour, thickness and outline, and whether it's drawn as you travel or shown whole from the start.
How do I make my Reel spend longer at a stop or between stops?
Each time is next to what it times. In Places, the slider under the transport between two stops sets the travel time between them. Time per photo in Media sets how long each photo stays, Time per label in Route how long each stop's name shows, and Intro length and Outro length in Camera the start and the end.
How do I choose my Reel's shape and resolution?
Open Format. Choose vertical for Instagram Reels and TikTok, horizontal for YouTube, and 16:9, 3:2 or 1:1. 720p and 1080p are free; higher resolutions and 60 fps are Premium, up to 1440p on a computer and 1080p on iPhone.
