Open the Create tab and choose where your stops come from:
Import photos: Travellar reads where and when each photo and video was taken and puts them on the map as stops.
Import from a link: a Google Maps route or place, a travel blog post or a tour page that names the places it visits. You need to be signed in.
Import from file: a GPX or KML track from Strava, Garmin, Komoot or similar becomes the route and its stops.
Pick places manually: search for places or drop pins on the map.
AI Trip Finder (iPhone): let Travellar spot the trips in your camera roll.
You can mix them: start from a Google Maps route and add your photos to it.
How do I make a Reel?
Open the Create tab and tap Import photos (or import a link or a file): Travellar puts your stops on the map. Check them, then tap Preview to watch the Reel as it will look. Tap Customize to change the map, music, camera and format, then tap Download.
Where did my unsaved Reel go?
Travellar keeps the activity you were working on, photos included, on your device. Open the Create tab again and tap Continue your draft. It keeps one draft of each kind, and a draft you started signed out moves to your account when you sign in.
Why isn't my photo or video in my Reel?
It has no location, usually because location was off in the camera, or the app you saved it from removed it. Travellar can't tell which stop it belongs to, so it waits in the Not in your reel yet group in Media. Drag it onto a stop to add it to your Reel. If you have no stops yet, add a place first.
Why does my video show as a still photo in my Reel?
Some devices can't draw videos into a Reel, so they show each video as a still photo. When that happens, the Videos option in Media reads "Videos (shown as photos)".
In a browser: use a recent Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, on a computer or an Android phone.
How do I save my Reel to my phone?
Tap Download. On iPhone, the Reel is saved to your Photos; in a browser, it downloads as an MP4 file. From there you can post it on Instagram, TikTok or anywhere else.
My Reel export stopped or failed. What can I do?
Keep the app open and the screen on while it exports. Switching apps or locking the phone stops it.
Try again. If it failed while adding your videos, the retry picks up from there without rendering again.
Lower the resolution (Format → Resolution) or use fewer videos. Long, high-resolution Reels need a lot of memory, and older phones can run out.
Travellar draws your Reel frame by frame on your phone, so it looks the same as the preview whatever your connection. A longer Reel, a higher resolution or 60 fps takes longer.
Why can't I export above 1080p on my iPhone?
Larger sizes need more memory than an iPhone gives a single app, so the iPhone app goes up to 1080p. On a computer, Premium exports at up to 1440p.
How long will my Reel be?
The length shows on the preview. It comes from the intro, the time at each stop and each photo, the travel between stops and the outro. Change them where each one is: travel times between the stops in Places (under the transport), photo time in Media, label time in Route, intro and outro in Camera. Or slide Travel speed under the preview.
