On the iPhone app, AI Trip Finder spots the trips in your camera roll from when and where you took your photos, picks the best photos of each, and proposes a Reel for every trip. Your first AI Trip Finder Reel is free; after that it's part of Premium. Making a Reel from photos you pick yourself is always free.
How does AI Trip Finder decide what a trip is?
Photos taken in one area, with no long gap between them, make a trip. Scope sets how big that area is, from a neighbourhood to the whole world, and Time gaps how long a break splits one trip into two, from 1 day to 4 weeks. Choosing a scope also picks a fitting gap and stop size, which you can change.
Why didn't AI Trip Finder find my trip?
Photo access: Travellar needs access to your whole library. Check Settings → Travellar → Photos.
No locations: photos without a location can't be placed, so a trip of them won't show.
Too close to home: if you've set your home, photos taken near it are left out.
Split or merged: if a trip is cut in two, make Time gaps longer; if two trips are joined, make them shorter or pick a smaller Scope.
Why are some photos blank in AI Trip Finder?
AI Trip Finder only looks at the photos on your iPhone. If your iPhone keeps only smaller copies of them (Optimise iPhone Storage), the ones still in iCloud show blank and AI Trip Finder can't judge them when it picks the best photos. Once you choose a trip, its photos download from iCloud as usual.
To have them all on your iPhone, choose Download and Keep Originals in Settings → Photos, if you have the space.
Can I edit the Reel AI Trip Finder proposes?
Yes. It opens in the same editor as any Reel: add or remove photos, rename, reorder or delete stops, and pick the map style, the music and the format.
