Sharing them in, limits, trimming, framing and captions
How do I share photos or a link into Travellar from another app?
On iPhone, select photos in Photos (or a link in any app), tap Share and choose Travellar. You can share up to 30 photos and 10 videos at a time. If you're already editing an activity, they're added to it; otherwise Travellar starts a new one.
How many photos and videos can an activity have?
Up to 10 photos and 2 videos on the free plan, and up to 60 photos and 20 videos with Premium.
How do I choose which part of a video plays?
Every video plays a Clip, the first 5 seconds unless you change it. Tap the video, choose Trim, and pick the part you want, from 1 to 30 seconds. The Reel and the Recommendation's page both play that Clip.
My video is too long or too big to add. What can I do?
A Reel plays up to 30 seconds of each video:
iPhone app: add it anyway. Travellar keeps the first 30 seconds, and Trim → Whole video lets you pick another part from the first 10 minutes. Whole video needs Full Access to your photos (Settings → Travellar → Photos).
In a browser: a video can be up to 30 seconds and 100 MB, as MP4 or MOV. Cut it first, or add it from the iPhone app.
How do I frame a photo or video?
Tap the photo or video while editing and choose Frame. Drag the rectangle over the part you want to show, then tap Done. Wherever it's cropped, like the activity's header, its cards and your Reels, that part stays in view.
The rectangle has the shape of the activity's header on your screen. To frame it for a Reel's shape instead, choose Frame from Media in the Reel editor.
Yes. Tap the photo while editing and choose Add caption (up to 200 characters). It shows in the photo viewer and, if you turn captions on, over the photo in your Reel.
Why do my photos take a while to load on iPhone?
If your iPhone keeps only smaller copies of your photos (Optimise iPhone Storage), Travellar downloads the originals from iCloud first and shows "Downloading from iCloud…" while it does. Keep your connection on until it's done.
If one can't be downloaded, Travellar leaves it out and tells you how many. Open it in Photos so it downloads, then add it again.
